Software development company building mobile applications. The team designs complex, specialist-facing digital interfaces, following a user-centred design process that spans research, ideation, design and testing. The work involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives.

What you will do

Design user interfaces for complex, specialist digital solutions, balancing the needs of expert and general users.
Conduct and coordinate regular user testing (e.g. usability testing, A/B testing), recording and communicating results.
Apply usability heuristics and Gestalt principles to improve interface clarity and visual consistency.
Work across all phases of a user-centred design process (Define, Discover, Innovate, Develop) within end-to-end projects.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to align design decisions with project objectives.
Ensure interfaces comply with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards through practical implementation.
Produce and hand over design assets, including component libraries and specifications, using tools such as Figma.

Practical experience applying WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards
Experience with regular user testing and reporting of results
Experience working across all four phases of user-centred design (Define, Discover, Innovate, Develop) in end-to-end projects
Experience with information security and data protection practices, including handling of sensitive personal data
English B2
Portuguese

Nice to have

Postgraduate education or specialisation in interface design (HCI/UXD) or graphic design for digital solutions
Portfolio demonstrating implementation of usability heuristics
Experience with dual-track agile methodology (discovery and delivery running in parallel)
Experience applying Gestalt principles in design
Experience designing complex specialist interfaces (e.g. for expert/professional users)
Experience with design tools (e.g. Figma) and delivery of design assets in open formats, including component libraries
