Mid/Senior Java Developer (Angular, Spring Boot)

About the client and the project

International banking group with a technology and operations hub in Portugal. The team works on internal software repositories and platforms, developing and maintaining business applications with a strong focus on continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

What you will do

  • Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications using object-oriented principles.
  • Build and enhance front-end interfaces using Angular 2+.
  • Implement and maintain backend services with Spring Boot.
  • Work with JPA/Hibernate for data persistence and integration with SQL databases (Oracle preferred).
  • Collaborate with the team using Git for version control.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Communicate with team members and stakeholders on technical solutions and progress.

Must-have skills

  • Degree in Technology, Computer Engineering or similar field
  • Java and object-oriented programming — 4+ years
  • Spring Boot — 2+ years
  • Angular 2+ — 2+ years
  • Experience with JPA/Hibernate
  • Experience with SQL databases (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience with Git
  • English B2

Nice to have

  • Python
  • Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release)
  • OpenShift

Location and work model

  • Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Porto)
