System & Product QA Engineer (Platform & UX)
System & Product QA Engineer (Platform & UX)
About MOV.AI
MOV.AI is a robotics software company developing an autonomy platform for the next generation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), operating in large-scale industrial and logistics environments. The platform enables fleets of robots to navigate, localize, and operate reliably in complex real-world environments, ranging from international airports to large warehouse operations.
Role Summary
MOV.AI is looking for a System & Product QA Engineer responsible for validating the MOV.AI Robotics Engine Platform as a complete, integrated product.
The role focuses on end-to-end product quality, system behaviour, usability and release confidence across the entire user journey.
The position combines:
- End-to-End Product Validation
- UI & Backend Testing
- UX Validation
- Exploratory Testing
- Python-based Automation
- Linux Installation & Deployment Validation
- Jira / Xray Test Management
- Collaboration with Product, Frontend, Backend, Robotics, DevOps and QA teams
This is not a traditional manual QA role nor a pure UI testing position. The ideal candidate must understand the platform as an integrated system and evaluate whether it behaves reliably, intuitively and clearly for end users.
Candidate Profile
1. Product QA Engineer
The ideal candidate should:
- Test complete product journeys rather than isolated features.
- Understand how users deploy, configure, monitor and troubleshoot AMR systems.
- Think from the perspective of deployers, field engineers, fleet operators and customer support.
- Identify product usability gaps even when the feature works technically.
- Combine structured testing with exploratory thinking.
Candidates who only execute predefined test cases without questioning product behaviour or user experience are unlikely to be a good fit.
2. UX & System Feedback Validation
The engineer should be able to assess whether:
- System states are communicated clearly.
- Error messages are understandable and actionable.
- Permissions and user capabilities are easy to understand.
- Operational warnings and robot status information are meaningful.
- Product behaviour provides sufficient guidance to users.
The focus is not only on whether a feature works, but whether users understand what happened, why it happened and what to do next.
3. End-to-End System Thinking
The candidate should understand complete workflows spanning:
- User Interface
- Backend Services
- Deployment Configuration
- Robot States
Expected capabilities include:
- Analysing failures across multiple layers.
- Investigating logs and backend states.
- Understanding pipeline outputs.
- Designing realistic deployment and operational test scenarios.
- Testing both happy paths and failure scenarios.
4. Hands-on Automation & QA
The engineer is expected to:
- Develop Python automation scripts.
- Simulate platform events.
- Validate backend states.
- Document findings in Jira.
- Organise regression testing and exploratory test cycles.
Approximately 70% of the role consists of hands-on testing, automation, investigation and product validation.
Candidates interested only in coordinating QA activities or executing manual checklists are not suitable.
