Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

About the client and the project

Regulatory compliance technology company providing an AI-powered platform to global enterprises. You will join a team of engineers building and evolving modern SaaS applications, contributing to architectural decisions and helping drive the platform's technical excellence.

What you will do

  • Write clean, maintainable code using .NET/C# and modern tools such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
  • Deliver high-quality, working software as part of a development team on a regular basis.
  • Provide insightful code reviews with a focus on architecture and long-term maintainability.
  • Ensure documentation exists for critical systems and write technical guides for other engineers.
  • Monitor dashboards and alerts, responding to incidents with appropriate urgency.
  • Diagnose root causes of complex bugs and deliver fixes with automated regression tests.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers, sharing knowledge through demos and presentations.

Must-have skills

  • .NET Core / C# — 6+ years
  • English B2

Nice to have

  • Microservice architectures
  • Event-driven architecture and messaging tools (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
  • SQL and NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, or similar)
  • Experience with feature flags
  • Agile working environment experience
  • Technical leadership and mentoring experience

Location and work model

  • Hybrid (1 day/week in the office, Lisboa)
