About the role
Regulatory compliance technology company providing an AI-powered platform to global enterprises. The team is building an AI-powered platform combining semantic search, ontology management, and data services, aiming to bring research and AI capabilities into scalable, customer-facing products.
What you will do
- Engage with Product Managers, Engineering, Architecture, and AI teams to execute the vision and roadmap for AI, search, and ontology capabilities.
- Define and prioritize initiatives related to semantic search, ontology improvements, metadata enrichment, and AI-powered features.
- Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge discovery, and metadata management.
- Ensure AI and ontology initiatives align with governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple products, managing dependencies and ownership transitions between teams.
- Facilitate the transition of initiatives from research and prototyping into scalable product delivery.
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria, and coach other Product Owners on best practices.
Location and work model
- Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
What are we looking for?
- Product Owner experience — 3+ years
- Agile methodologies and prioritization frameworks
- Experience delivering cloud-based software projects
- Knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, microservices and modern software architectures
- Experience with data platforms, metadata management and information retrieval systems
- Knowledge of ontology management, taxonomy design, knowledge representation or semantic technologies
- English B2
Nice to have
- Experience with semantic search, RAG, vector databases and knowledge discovery
- Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-based systems, AI evaluation and AI governance concepts
- Experience managing the transition from research/experimentation into scalable product capabilities
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and other product management tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coaching junior Product Owners
