Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

Retail group's digital and technology company operating across multiple markets. The role sits within a platform enablement team responsible for infrastructure architecture and platform engineering. The team designs and delivers infrastructure services as internal products, supporting application teams across the organisation.

What you will do

Develop and maintain platform infrastructure services.
Design and implement infrastructure services as internal products.
Automate the lifecycle of infrastructure products and platforms.
Collaborate with development teams to understand application infrastructure requirements.
Perform infrastructure and application updates, including load and resilience testing.
Manage internal stakeholder expectations and monitor service satisfaction levels.
Stay current with industry trends and evolving infrastructure practices.

Location and work model

Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Porto)

What are we looking for?

Kubernetes — 6+ years
Linux
CKA or OpenShift certification (required)
Software development experience — 3+ years
Go and/or Python programming skills
CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
GitOps tools (e.g. Argo CD)
Cloud provider experience (GCP or Azure)
Monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
English B2
Portuguese

Nice to have

Go development experience
Artificial Intelligence skills
