Technology company delivering connectivity, digital and AI solutions across ports, energy and industrial sectors. An ongoing project to operate and evolve an AWS-based enterprise data platform, focused on keeping core infrastructure components highly available, secure and efficient through Infrastructure as Code.

What you will do

  • Plan and execute upgrades of self-hosted platform components such as secrets management, artifact repository and version control systems, with backup, rollback and post-upgrade validation
  • Upgrade Amazon EKS versions and add-ons, and migrate node groups between Amazon Linux versions without downtime
  • Migrate ingress controllers and other end-of-life components to supported replacements with no service disruption
  • Upgrade Terraform/OpenTofu and related providers, validating non-destructive plans before applying changes
  • Design and implement PostgreSQL high availability, including failover testing
  • Strengthen resilience of core platform components, including tested Kubernetes backup and restore procedures
  • Improve monitoring, alerting and self-healing automation (probes, auto-restart, autoscaling, automated remediation)

Location and work model

  • Remote
  • DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering — 5+ years
  • Infrastructure as Code on AWS in production — 3+ years
  • Terraform (AWS provider) and/or OpenTofu in production, including reusable versioned modules
  • Hands-on Ansible experience
  • Production experience with Amazon EKS, including version and node group upgrades
  • Solid knowledge of EC2, S3 and IAM
  • At least one EKS upgrade and one database migration to high availability, both without downtime
  • Kubernetes: Helm, ingress controllers, probes, HPA and PodDisruptionBudgets
  • PostgreSQL administration, including backup and restore
  • Experience upgrading self-hosted GitLab, Nexus Sonatype and HashiCorp Vault
  • English C1

Nice to have

  • Terragrunt and IaC module testing
  • Migration experience between Amazon Linux versions; Karpenter or Bottlerocket
  • Migration from ingress-nginx to AWS Load Balancer Controller, Gateway API or Traefik
  • PostgreSQL HA with Patroni, CloudNativePG or RDS/Aurora Multi-AZ
  • Vault HA with Raft storage; advanced GitLab backup/availability strategies
  • Automated self-healing tooling and uptime/log monitoring solutions
