Senior Integration Architect (Java, Kafka)

About the client and the project

Global AI-enabled consulting and software engineering company with hubs across Europe, including Portugal. The role sits within a team responsible for core integration and data platforms, focused on modernizing legacy integrations into event-driven and API-based solutions.

What you will do

  • Design and document complex integration architectures that are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Lead the design and evolution of core integration and data platforms, acting as technical authority for these systems.
  • Architect and oversee the redesign of legacy integrations, transitioning them to modern, event-driven or API-based solutions.
  • Lead the design and development of integration microservices, defining architectural patterns and best practices.
  • Define enterprise architecture strategy and ensure its consistent application through architectural governance.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams as a subject matter expert on integration technologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and ensure designs comply with security, regulatory, and business continuity standards.
