About the role

Global professional services company with a technology delivery hub in Portugal. The role sits within a platform observability initiative supporting complex, large-scale IT environments spanning mainframe, open systems, and container platforms, with the goal of driving modern observability practices across the organization.

What you will do

Design, build, and maintain the Elastic Stack (Beats, Elastic Agents, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) to support observability across the environment.
Drive observability solutions for applications hosted on mainframe, open systems, and container platforms.
Ensure platform performance, indexing efficiency, log retention, data lifecycle management, and secure access control.
Track vendor updates, new features, and market trends to continuously evolve the observability platform.
Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to integrate observability practices into CI/CD pipelines.
Establish best practices and governance for application monitoring and coding standards.
Coach and mentor team members, lead production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident handling (P1/P2), and support release execution.

Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
