About the role

A newly created data unit bringing together information from a diverse group of businesses—retail, electronics, financial services, telecom, shopping centers, and digital platforms—to turn it into data products and services, initially for internal use and later for the wider market.

What you will do

Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to generate actionable business insights.
Build, deploy, and monitor machine learning models that support strategic initiatives and drive performance.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable, accessible, and well-structured data for model development.
Translate business needs into analytical questions and communicate results clearly to stakeholders.
Design and implement feature engineering strategies to enhance model effectiveness.
Develop and maintain pipelines for model training and evaluation.
Promote best practices in MLOps/LLMOps, ensuring scalability and performance in production.

Location and work model

Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Porto / Braga)

What are we looking for?

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Solid experience developing, validating, and deploying ML models end-to-end
Experience in feature engineering, model tuning, and lifecycle management
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience in retail sector
English B2
Portuguese

Nice to have

Ability to bridge business problems and data solutions with clarity and precision
Experience managing complexity and ambiguity with autonomy
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with non-technical audiences
Curiosity, creativity, and a drive to keep learning
