About the role

Payments and financial technology company operating across Portugal. The team builds and evolves microservices and APIs supporting critical financial and payments systems, with a strong focus on cloud-native design, resilience, performance and observability.

What you will do

Develop and maintain microservices, APIs and business logic in Java with Spring Boot, following cloud-native and cloud-agnostic best practices.
Write unit, integration and contract tests, and support the QA team in test automation.
Participate in technical solution design together with architects, aligned with the defined architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, QA, SRE, security, business) in refinements, planning sessions and code reviews.
Ensure code is secure and observable, including logging, tracing and metrics.
Contribute to technical documentation covering services, APIs and key technical decisions.
Analyze and resolve incidents in development and QA/certification environments, acting as third-line support when needed.
