Senior AI Solutions Engineer (Generative AI)
About the client and the project
Retail banking group in Portugal with a growing focus on digital and technology-driven services. The role sits within an internal Artificial Intelligence team focused on designing and delivering Generative AI solutions that address real business challenges. The team combines technical expertise with a structured, problem-solving approach to build robust and scalable AI-driven products.
What you will do
- Collaborate with business areas to understand needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and develop agents, copilots, and other solutions based on generative models.
- Implement and integrate the technological components, systems, data, and services needed to ensure robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Define and implement monitoring, observability, and evaluation mechanisms for deployed solutions.
- Contribute to defining success metrics and to the continuous evolution of implemented solutions.
Must-have skills
- Practical experience with Generative AI solutions and conversational agent development
- Solid theoretical knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and model evaluation techniques
- Knowledge of the development pipeline for agent-based solutions, including architecture, development, integration, deployment, monitoring, observability, and DevOps/MLOps practices
- Knowledge of systems integration, APIs, cloud services, and consuming external services
- Effective communication skills with technical teams and business stakeholders
- English B2
- Portuguese
Nice to have
- Experience in the banking or financial sector
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or equivalent technologies
- Experience with RAG architectures and integrating models with corporate knowledge sources
- Experience in observability, monitoring, and evaluation of AI solutions
- Experience operationalizing and deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments
- Knowledge of architectures for Generative AI applications, including data persistence and management, knowledge bases, semantic search and indexing, integration with corporate systems and cloud services, authentication/a
Location and work model
- Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
