Technical Domain Lead (Salesforce)

About the client and the project

Retail group's digital and technology company operating across multiple markets. The role sits within an e-commerce delivery organization, covering both product and project teams responsible for an online retail platform. The domain spans multiple engineering teams working end-to-end on development, quality, release and operations.

What you will do

  • Act as the technical reference for the e-commerce domain, accountable for end-to-end delivery.
  • Coordinate Tech Leads and engineers, supporting architecture decisions and resolving technical conflicts.
  • Shape and lead the domain's technical strategy in close alignment with business stakeholders.
  • Manage the technical roadmap in collaboration with product and business teams.
  • Identify implementation risks early (architecture, dependencies, capacity) and propose mitigations.
  • Balance technical execution with people and process management across teams.
  • Standardize shared tooling and codify architecture guidelines for consistent adoption.

Must-have skills

  • Previous experience leading multiple engineering teams (senior Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or equivalent role)
  • Salesforce Commerce (SFRA) — architecture, customization and operations in an e-commerce context
  • Proven ability to balance technical depth with people management
  • Experience unblocking cross-team delivery issues (dependencies, technical prioritization conflicts)
  • Comfortable defining and communicating medium-term technical strategy with business/product stakeholders
  • Experience identifying, communicating and managing implementation risks
  • React.js in headless e-commerce architecture
  • English B2
  • Portuguese

  • Salesforce Service

  • Data 360
  • Prior experience in retail/e-commerce, particularly health & beauty
  • Experience with API gateway integrations (Gravitee/Solace)
  • Experience working with AI-assisted development practices (coding agents, shared rules/skills) or strong appetite to adopt them

  • Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Porto)
