QA Engineer (Playwright)

About the client and the project

International banking group with a technology and operations hub in Portugal. The team works on web applications, ensuring quality, reliability, and performance through both manual and automated testing practices.

What you will do

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
Manage test plans, test cases, and test executions using Xray within Jira, ensuring traceability from requirements to defects.
Perform manual exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing on web applications.
Define test strategies and test plans for new features.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution using Jira.
Integrate automated Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback.

Must-have skills

Playwright (Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript)
Xray for Jira
QA methodologies (SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum)
RESTful API testing (e.g., Postman, Bruno)
Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)
English B2
French B2

Nice to have

Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber/Gherkin
Performance/load testing knowledge (e.g., k6)
ISTQB or equivalent QA certification

Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Porto)
