Mid/Senior .NET Developer (C#, SQL Server)

About the client and the project

IT consulting and software development company operating in Portugal. The team works on internal business applications built on the .NET stack, integrating with external APIs and modernizing legacy components into current web frameworks.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain applications using VB.Net and modern ASP.NET Core.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server database structures and queries.
  • Build and consume integrations with external APIs.
  • Implement front-end components using Razor MVC and related tooling (Node, Gulp, Webpack, Sass).
  • Collaborate with the team to modernize existing scripts and legacy application logic.
  • Test and validate API endpoints using tools such as Postman.
  • Contribute to cloud-based features, including authentication and monitoring in Azure.

Must-have skills

  • VB.Net Framework (4.7.2)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Script development experience (proprietary scripting tools)
  • English B2
  • Portuguese

Nice to have

  • Azure (API Management and Application Insights)
  • ASP.NET (5 or higher)
  • API testing tools (Postman or equivalent)
  • ASP.NET Core 8 with Razor MVC
  • Node/Gulp/Webpack/Sass
  • Integration with external APIs

Location and work model

  • Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
