What you will be doing:
What we are looking for:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile test automation frameworks using C#, .NET 8, and Appium 2.0 for iOS and Android applications.
- Create, execute, and monitor automated test suites following the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern and accessibility-id locator strategy.
- Implement and maintain automated testing for both iOS (XCUITest Driver) and Android (UiAutomator2 Driver) platforms.
- Configure and manage testing environments, including simulators, real devices, Xcode build environments, and BrowserStack App Automate for cloud-based parallel execution.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Ensure continuous quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle by working closely with development and engineering teams.
- Lead the automation strategy for Smoke, Regression, End-to-End (E2E), and System Integration testing across mobile applications.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements to design effective mobile automation solutions.
- Establish and promote automation best practices, including NUnit test architecture, setup and teardown processes, parallel execution, and parameterized testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, QA engineers, developers, and product teams to align testing strategies with business and product objectives.
- Monitor test results, identify quality risks, and drive continuous improvements in application stability and performance.
- Contribute to the evolution of testing processes, frameworks, and quality standards to support the delivery of high-quality mobile products.
- Influence and support the project roadmap by advocating for quality-first approaches and test automation excellence.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in mobile test automation using Appium 2.0 with C# and .NET 8.
- Strong knowledge of mobile automation frameworks and best practices for iOS and Android platforms.
- Hands-on experience with XCUITest Driver, including iOS simulator and real-device testing, as well as familiarity with Xcode.
- Solid experience with UiAutomator2 Driver for Android automation across emulators and physical devices.
- Experience implementing and maintaining test frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
- Proficiency in using accessibility-id as a locator strategy for robust and maintainable mobile test automation.
- Practical experience with NUnit, including test lifecycle management, setup and teardown configurations, parallel execution, and parameterized testing.
- Experience using Appium Inspector for element identification, locator validation, and debugging automation scripts.
- Proficiency with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, methodologies, tools, and testing processes.
- Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective automated testing solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Hands-on experience with BrowserStack App Automate, including SDK configuration, framework integration, capability management, parallel execution, and analysis of execution logs and video recordings.
- Understanding of BrowserStack SDK compatibility requirements and .NET 8 framework dependencies.
- Strong programming skills in C#, with exposure to other programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Experience in API testing and automation using tools and frameworks such as Postman, Rest Assured, or Python Requests.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as K6 or Apache JMeter.
- Knowledge of mobile application security testing methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices and related frameworks.
- Experience supporting development teams in the creation and maintenance of unit tests to improve overall test coverage and software quality.
- Experience managing test data, test environments, and multiple device configurations across mobile platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and optimize automation strategies for complex mobile ecosystems.
- Knowledge and practical application of Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Experience working in highly automated CI/CD environments with a strong quality engineering mindset.
- Previous involvement in defining automation standards, governance, and quality engineering best practices across teams.
3-month contract with automatic renewal
