Junior Elasticsearch & Observability Engineer

About the role

Global professional services company with a technology delivery hub in Portugal. The team supports and maintains an observability platform built on the Elastic Stack, covering multi-platform environments including mainframe, open systems, and container platforms. The focus is on keeping monitoring and logging solutions healthy and helping application teams onboard onto the platform.

What you will do

  • Assist in maintaining and extending Elastic Stack components (Beats, Elastic Agents, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana)
  • Execute predefined runbooks for platform health monitoring, routine maintenance, and alert checks
  • Support application teams during onboarding onto the observability platform
  • Help configure basic monitoring, dashboards, log collection, and alerting
  • Participate in routine release execution and incident handling under guidance from senior team members
  • Follow established coding standards, governance, and CI/CD practices
  • Document operational activities, updates, and ticket resolutions accurately

Location and work model

  • Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
  • No relocation package available
