Data Product Owner

About the client and the project

IT consulting and software engineering company operating in Portugal. The role sits within a data-focused initiative building and evolving a cloud-based data platform, aiming to turn data into a well-managed, adopted product across the organization.

What you will do

Define the vision, strategy and roadmap for a data product, aligning it with business goals and OKRs.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, including epics, features and user stories, using value-based methods such as WSJF.
Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Ensure governance and compliance requirements are met, including data protection, cost management (FinOps) and SLAs.
Coordinate delivery activities with technical and engineering teams.
Drive product adoption through metrics, evangelization and change management activities.
Manage the full lifecycle and long-term sustainability of the data product.
