About the client and the project

Retail group's digital and technology company operating across multiple markets. The Data Engineering team, part of a broader Data, AI & Analytics area, builds and maintains data pipelines and platforms that support analytics and data-driven decision making across the business.

What you will do

Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python and PySpark.
Design and implement data models for data warehouse and data lake solutions.
Apply software engineering best practices, including version control, code review and coding standards.
Work with distributed data processing ecosystems such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark or Databricks.
Build and deploy data solutions in cloud environments such as Azure, GCP or AWS.
Collaborate with the wider data team to ensure data quality, reliability and automation of processes.
Support the integration of new data sources into existing platforms.
