Business Analyst
About the client and the project
International banking group with a technology and operations hub in Portugal. The role sits within a financial services delivery environment, working across Agile/hybrid teams to bridge business and IT throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production rollout and ongoing support.
What you will do
- Act as the main bridge between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams.
- Elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Manage and prioritize a change request backlog in line with business expectations.
- Conduct impact analysis considering legacy systems and dependencies.
- Support incident and change management to ensure operational stability.
- Facilitate business workshops and interviews with stakeholders across the organization.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to improving BA practices within the team.
Must-have skills
- Business Analysis experience in a financial services environment
- SQL
- English B2
Nice to have
- Exposure to financial systems or platforms (e.g. payments, asset management, banking core systems)
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools
- French language skills
- Understanding of end-to-end development lifecycle from requirements to production
Location and work model
- Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa / Porto)
