Senior Java Developer (Spring Boot)

About the client and the project

International banking group with a technology and operations hub in Portugal. The role is part of a team developing and maintaining backend applications for a leasing business line. The team focuses on building robust, scalable software architectures within a corporate banking environment.

What you will do

Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure software architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
Audit existing code quality, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose optimization solutions.
Implement development best practices, including TDD, Clean Code, and CI/CD.
Write clear and structured technical documentation.
Support and upskill technical teams through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners and architects to translate functional needs into technical specifications.
