Junior & Senior Backend Developer (Golang)

About the role

Retail company with a technology hub in Portugal. The role is part of a backend engineering squad building and operating cloud-based services for a large retail technology platform. The team works on distributed, event-driven systems supporting the company's digital operations.

What you will do

Implement technical stories and tasks defined by a Team Leader or Solution Designer within a cloud-first infrastructure.
Write application code and infrastructure-as-code configurations for the services owned by the squad.
Move code through automated testing, code review, and CI/CD pipelines up to production deployment.
Participate in peer code reviews and respond to feedback on own code.
Monitor and maintain systems, keeping up with security updates and suggesting upgrades or refactors when needed.
Produce technical documentation and follow the team's logging, metrics, and reporting standards.

Hybrid (1 day/week in the office, Lisboa)
