AI Architect
AI Architect
About the Role
We're building AI into the core of how we work and ship products. We need someone who has already been through the hard parts, who has seen what works, what fails, and why. You'll work closely with our Engineering Managers to design how AI fits into our systems and teams, define the technical direction for AI adoption, and make sure we're building on solid foundations rather than hype.
This is not a research role. We need someone who can design and also get their hands dirty, someone who has the architectural vision and the technical credibility to back it up.
What You'll Do
- Design the AI architecture across our products and internal systems: data flows, model selection, integration patterns, observability
- Build and ship AI-driven features and internal tools from 0 to 1
- Define standards and best practices for how AI is built and used across engineering teams
- Propose frameworks and best practices for how AI is used in our products and workflows
- Evaluate models, tools, vendors, and infrastructure. Own the technical recommendations
- Work hands-on in key moments to validate architecture decisions in real code
- Identify where AI creates genuine leverage in our products and workflows and where it doesn't
- Be the technical reference for AI across the team and help raise the overall bar
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience — you've designed and owned complex systems in production, not just contributed to them
- Experience in an architecture role; you've made system-level design decisions and lived with the consequences
- Has been a key contributor in AI adoption initiatives inside a company (not just POCs)
- Deep, hands-on experience with the modern AI/ML stack: LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, prompt engineering, evals
- Strong opinions on AI architecture and governance
- Comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Can move fast, communicate clearly, and cut through hype
- Genuinely curious and keeps up with the field without being distracted by every new shiny thing
What This Is Not
- A people management role
- A hands-off advisory role; architecture here means you own the decisions and their outcomes
- A pure research role; research is part of the job, but it exists to inform decisions and drive real outcomes, not as an end in itself
