Senior Java Developer

About the role

Payments and financial technology company operating across Portugal. The project involves the development and maintenance of scalable, high-availability Java applications for a payments-related platform, with a strong focus on performance, security and compliance.

What you will do

  • Analyze, develop and maintain Java applications following best practices and scalable, high-availability architectures.
  • Optimize application performance, including concurrency handling and SQL query tuning.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure software quality.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of developed solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional, technical and QA teams.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues through advanced debugging and log analysis.
  • Participate in technical decisions regarding technologies, architecture, frameworks and tools.

Location and work model

  • Hybrid (3 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
