We are looking for an Software Engineer Tester in Lisbon, Coimbra or Braga who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

What is this challenge about:

  • Communicate and implement test approaches and strategies for APIs.
  • Understand requirements and raise relevant questions to clarify scope and functionality.
  • Contribute to automated test frameworks to verify functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure delivery of products according to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, identify critical bugs, verify reported issues, and determine their root causes.
  • Communicate status, progress, and issues to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Follow and promote QA best practices within the team.
  • Write test approaches for functional testing and exploratory test charters, reporting outcomes clearly.
  • Participate in agile team activities, including sprint planning, estimation, and prioritization.
  • +2 years of professional professional experience in API testing, both manual and automated.
  • Strong experience developing automated acceptance tests for APIs using TypeScript (primary) and Java (for legacy systems).
  • Experience with BDD and Gherkin techniques for test specification.
  • Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control tools.
  • Experience working collaboratively in Agile Scrum teams.
  • Experience in automation code refactoring.
  • CI/CD experience deploying builds (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions; Jenkins knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience with AWS services and tools (S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Proficiency using API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or similar.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to plan, estimate, and manage time effectively within an agile team.
  • Living in Braga, Coimbra or Lisbon (hybrid role).
  • Fluent level of English.
