We are looking for a Software Engineer (.NET) to work in Lisbon who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!
What is this challenge about:
- Write clean, maintainable code in .NET C# and other modern tools (e.g., Kafka, ElasticSearch);
- Deliver high-quality, working software as part of a development team;
Build deep expertise in the team’s codebase and provide insightful code reviews;
- Ensure documentation exists for all critical systems and write widely used technical guides;
- Help define SRE standards to monitor applications and respond to production incidents;
- Drive high-level technical decision-making, identifying trade-offs and organisation-wide alignment;
- Diagnose complex bugs, provide fixes, and create automated regression tests;
- Guide technical improvements and provide vision for future architecture;
- Mentor, coach, and empower engineers, sharing knowledge via demos and presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
- 10+ years of experience working with .NET C#;
- Expert-level proficiency in C#.NET;
- Strong understanding and experience with microservice architectures, including patterns, techniques, and trade-offs;
- 2+ years of experience with event-driven architectures and messaging tools (Kafka preferred, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, etc.);
- Experience with NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch preferred, Dynamo, MongoDB, Redis);
- Proven ability to drive best practice improvements across multiple teams;
- Experience tackling complex technical problems independently and leading critical technical decisions;
- Ability to anticipate technical risks and coordinate mitigation;
- Strong skills in deploying and scaling cloud applications, including Docker and Kubernetes;
- Agile experience;
