International banking group with a technology and operations hub in Portugal. The role is part of an internal IT team supporting corporate banking functions, developing enterprise-level business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision making.

What you will do

Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that meet business requirements.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, including advanced SELECTs, subqueries, joins, unions, and aggregation methods, to extract data from various source systems.
Design and adapt SQL queries for historical data extraction, using dynamic date filters and time-series logic.
Inject dynamic parameters into customized SQL queries within Power BI to optimize data load performance.
Author and optimize advanced DAX calculations, including time intelligence, filter context manipulation, and nested measures.
Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI reports, dashboard refresh times, and underlying SQL queries for optimal performance.
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices to junior and mid-level developers.

Location and work model

Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Porto)

Business Intelligence / Data Engineering / Data Analytics experience — 7+ years
Microsoft BI Stack
Advanced SQL (subqueries, CTEs, joins, unions, aggregation functions)
Dynamic SQL querying for historical data extraction
Expert DAX skills (advanced formulas and business logic)
Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
Gateway configuration, row-level security (RLS), and workspace administration
English B2

Nice to have

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent legacy certification
French language proficiency
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Mentoring and technical leadership experience
