Global professional services company with a technology delivery hub in Portugal. The role sits within a platform observability initiative supporting complex, large-scale IT environments spanning mainframe, open systems, and container platforms, with the goal of driving modern observability practices across the organization.
What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain the Elastic Stack (Beats, Elastic Agents, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) to support observability across the environment.
- Drive observability solutions for applications hosted on mainframe, open systems, and container platforms.
- Ensure platform performance, indexing efficiency, log retention, data lifecycle management, and secure access control.
- Track vendor updates, new features, and market trends to continuously evolve the observability platform.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to integrate observability practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish best practices and governance for application monitoring and coding standards.
- Coach and mentor team members, lead production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident handling (P1/P2), and support release execution.
