We are looking for a NodeJS Backend Developer to work in Porto who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

What is this challenge about:

Join a skilled engineering team to develop and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js with TypeScript;

Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and clean code;

Write modular, testable, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns;

Integrate third-party services and external APIs while ensuring secure data flow;

Participate in architecture decisions and technical discussions across cross-functional teams;

Collaborate using Agile methodologies with tools like Jira and Confluence;

Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation and monitoring using modern tools.

Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit/integration tests, and continuous integration pipelines;

Strong experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript;

Solid understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL), authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and versioning;

Experience working with databases (SQL – PostgreSQL or MySQL; NoSQL – MongoDB or Redis);

Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments;

Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus;

Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress;

Previous experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.);

Comfortable in Agile environments with Git, Jira, Confluence;

Fluency in English (mandatory).
