Senior Data Scientist
What is this challenge about: - Partner with product and marketing teams to identify business challenges, define success metrics, and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the design, development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of statistical models focused on marketing spend optimization and product growth.
- Translate complex analyses and model outputs into clear, compelling narratives and intuitive data visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Independently prototype, validate, and iterate on new analytical approaches, turning hypotheses into actionable business recommendations.
- Evaluate, select, and refine statistical and machine learning methodologies based on business context and technical suitability.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership (CEO/COO) and clients, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning by mentoring peers and promoting best practices.
- Travel nationally and internationally when required (estimated 0–15%), depending on project and organizational needs.
What we are looking for: - Proven experience operating as a Senior Data Scientist with the ability to lead complex initiatives independently.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to influence product and marketing decisions through evidence-based insights.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Empathetic, collaborative, self-organized, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for continuous learning, building innovative solutions, and mentoring others.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python or R, with hands-on experience developing statistical models for complex, multidimensional datasets.
- Experience with statistical modeling libraries such as CausalImpact, RStan, or equivalent Bayesian and causal inference frameworks.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake is considered a plus.
