We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineerto work in Lisbon who is eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

What is this challenge about

  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployment, scalability, and infrastructure maintenance processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native applications, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized workloads.
  • Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and infrastructure costs through right-sizing and optimization strategies.
  • Lead infrastructure optimization initiatives, including Elasticsearch performance tuning and index/query optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, security, and business teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives around DevOps practices, automation, observability, and infrastructure reliability.
  • Produce technical documentation including infrastructure diagrams, deployment procedures, disaster recovery plans, and operational guidelines.

What we’re looking for

  • +5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing complex cloud infrastructures.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure cloud services (other cloud providers are also valued).
  • Solid experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
  • Experience with networking concepts including VNets, Subnets, routing, DNS, and peerings.
  • Experience implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning and infrastructure optimization.
  • Security-first mindset when designing and implementing infrastructure and DevOps processes.
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, Shell, Java, or .NET is a plus.
