What is this challenge about:

  • Lead the design, integration, and evolution of the Digital Experience Platform (DXP), ensuring seamless integration between frontend modules, CMS platforms, backend APIs, SSR capabilities, and caching layers.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, reusable package governance, versioning strategies, and module publishing lifecycles across multiple teams.
  • Establish best practices for API integration, caching strategies, server-side rendering compatibility, and production deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Feature Teams, API teams, CMS stakeholders, and governance bodies to ensure reliable and scalable platform integration.
  • Act as the technical lead for complex architectural challenges, including SSR compatibility, caching strategies for personalized content, and module integration conflicts.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to development teams, promoting engineering excellence and adherence to architectural principles.
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes, production readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform ecosystem.

What we are looking for:

  • +8 years of experience in Full Stack Development, Frontend Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Strong expertise in modern frontend architectures, including component-based development, routing, state management, data fetching, form handling, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Extensive experience with server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), hydration techniques, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures.
  • Proven experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue.js, Angular, Svelte, Nuxt, Remix, or similar technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of reusable package management and governance using tools such as npm, Yarn, pnpm, or Bun, including semantic versioning, dependency management, rollback strategies, and package publishing.
  • Deep understanding of caching mechanisms, including cache-control policies, edge caching (Cloudflare, Akamai), TTL management, stale content strategies, and personalized content caching.
  • Experience working with enterprise CMS and DXP platforms such as Optimizely, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Contentful, Drupal, or similar solutions.
  • Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, OpenAPI specifications, error handling, retry logic, logging, and rate-limiting strategies.
  • Experience overseeing CI/CD pipelines and managing production delivery processes in complex, multi-team environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and Agile teams.
  • Living in Lisbon (hybrid role)
  • Fluent level of English.
