Retail company with a technology hub in Portugal. The team is responsible for designing, operating and evolving critical cloud platforms, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, security and continuous improvement of production services.

What you will do

  • Operate and evolve cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance, security and cost efficiency.
  • Design and implement automation (Terraform, scripts, pipelines) to reduce manual work, errors and delivery time.
  • Act as a reference point for infrastructure incidents, supporting troubleshooting of access and connectivity issues (IAM, VPN, RDP, AD, VPC, security groups, routing).
  • Create and maintain VMs and workloads in cloud environments, aligned with architecture, security and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, from stage definition to post-deployment observability.
  • Implement and operate monitoring solutions to ensure effective alerting and visibility over platform health.
  • Participate in incident management, post-mortems and reliability initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Location and work model

  • Hybrid (2 days/week in the office, Lisboa / Porto)

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, particularly EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ALB, and NLB;

  • Experience designing secure and highly available cloud networks, including segmentation, routing, and security rules;

  • Proven ability to build and manage AWS environments from the ground up, including accounts, landing zones, networking, application layers, and data services;

  • Strong focus on cloud scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimization;

  • Advanced experience with Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state management, environment promotion, automated validation, and Infrastructure as Code best practices;

  • Experience integrating Terraform workflows with CI/CD pipelines, including automated plan and apply processes and policy validation;

  • Strong experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure;

  • Proficiency in Bash and Python for operational automation, internal tooling, integrations, and pipeline support;

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including automated deployments, configuration management, and observability integration;

  • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana, including metrics, dashboards, alerts, and the continuous improvement of SLIs and SLOs;

  • Experience managing critical incidents, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions;

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud connectivity troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS;

  • Good understanding of cloud security practices, including least-privilege IAM, security groups, WAF, encryption, secrets management, and security controls within CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with AWS workload migrations, Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud environments, SQL or Oracle troubleshooting, and database performance analysis will be valued.
