We are looking for a Data Scientist to work in Porto who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

As a data scientist, you will be responsible for leading the design of solutions and managing the teams that develop them within a project. You will also be responsible for selecting a team with the appropriate skillset or ensuring that the team acquires the required capabilities in due time. You must also ensure proper solution delivery, monitoring, and governance using MLOps.

What is this challenge about:

Leverage data and domain knowledge to solve business problems and create quantifiable value;

Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models, and design suitable solutions;

Build and maintain (or lead the development of) data-driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms, and capacity constraint models;

Lead teams into delivering models using best MLOps practices;

Communicate final recommendations and support decision-making.

Degree in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science);

Scripting with Python and nice to have one of these languages (e.g., Pyspark, Spark-mllib);

Experienced with packages such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, matplotlib, and tensorflow/pytorch;

Minimum 2 years of project experience as a Data Scientist;

Professional experience with Java, Scala, or Spark;

Experience working with and leading teams in a project environment;

Experience in delivering projects using MLOps best practices;

Proficiency in English.
